He was awarded Public Service Medal.

Scientific interests

  • Theory and practice of building constructions, structural assessment in operation and in the process of their reinforcement

Under his leadership and with his direct participation, design theory, methods, algorithms and programs for the condition assessment of building construction in operation and in the process of their reinforcement were developed. He was the first to offer scientifically grounded method of analysis of composite physically nonlinear rod segments in relation to reinforced concrete elements during short duration load and continuous load. The method of analysis is included into main normative documents of the Republic of Belarus in the sphere of construction.
With Dmitry Lazovsky 's direct participation, analysis of structure and scientific support of construction of National library of the Republic of Belarus were carried out. In additon, expert examination of long-span roof constructions of sports facility Minsk-Arena, structural coverage of the Summer Amphitheatre Slavianski Bazaar in Viciebsk, etc. were carried out with his direct participation. Moreover, 5 PhD theses were defended under his leadership.

Publications

D. Lazovsky published more the 170 scientific and methodological works, including 1 monograph.
