Teaching activities

Since 1998, Elena has been working at PSU. In 1999, she took a full-time postgraduate course “Processes and Devices of Chemical Technologies”. In 2004, Elena S. successfully presented her PhD thesis “Transport Processes Modelling in Jet Devices” (supervised by Genrikh Abayev) and obtained a PhD in Engineering. In 2006, Elena took a professional development course “Modern Information Technologies in Teaching Students” at NIHE. In 2013, she took another professional development course “Design and Development of Electronic Instructional Materials in Higher Education System” at NIHE.
In 2016, she became the Head of the Department of Chemical Technology and Occupational Health and Safety.
Currently teaches the following disciplines:
  • Processes and Devices in Chemical Technologies
  • Machines and Apparatuses of Chemical Production
  • Engineering Creativity Fundamentals

Scientific interests

  • Design, Modelling and Optimization of Mass Exchanging and Thermal Processes in Petrochemical Industry
  • Design and Modelling of Hydronic Aeration Processes
  • Innovations in Petrochemical Industry
