Teaching activities

In 1991, Vadim Yaltykhov graduated from Polotsk State University specializing in “Engineering Geodesy”. Since 1991, Vadim has been working at the Department of Engineering Geodesy and Photogrammetry. In 1994 – 1997, he took a full-time postgraduate course in “Geodesy”. In 2001, Vadim Yaltykhov successfully presented his PhD thesis on “Generalization of Algorithms of Mathematical Treatment of Geodetic Measurements Based on Lp-evaluation Method” supervised by professor Valery Mitskevich, Doctor of Engineering.
Currently teaches the following disciplines:
  • Engineering Geodesy
  • Automated Methods of Geodetic Surveying
  • Applied Photogrammetry

Scientific interests

  • Automated Topographic and Geodetic Data Collection and Processing Technologies
  • Engineering and Geodesy Support of Construction and Exploitation of Unique Engineering Projects
  • Digital Photogrammetry
There are 5 Master’s theses successfully presented under his supervision. At the moment, Vadim is supervising 1 graduate student and 1 postgraduate student.
