Teaching activities

In 1975 graduated from Novopolotsk Polytechnic Institute (NPI) with honors specializing in “Technology of Mechanical Engineering, Metal-Cutting Equipment and Tools” and then worked as an assistant at the Department of Structural Mechanics and Strength of Materials at the NPI until 1979. After finishing his postgraduate course, he was assigned to work at the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute named after Abu Rayhan al-Biruni (now Tashkent State Technical University) where he worked as an assistant and then senior lecturer at the Department of Strength of Materials until 1988. Has been working at PSU since 1988.
Since 1990 has been working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Construction Materials Engineering. The Course Taught – “Elements of Mechanical Design”. From 1992 to 1996 worked as the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. From 2000 to 2002 worked as the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Then worked as the Head of the Department of Projective Geometry and Graphics. From 2006 to 2010 worked as the Professor at the Department of Mechanics.
Has the academic ranks of Senior Researcher (1991) and Associate Professor (1993). In 2001 he was appointed the Corresponding Member of Belarus Engineering Academy.
Currently teaches the following disciplines:
  • Applied Mechanics;
  • Mechanics;
  • Engineering Mechanics and Components of Machines;
  • Engineering Drawing.

Scientific interests

  • Fracture Mechanics and Strength of Materials;
  • Integrity of Restored Components and Parts of Machines;
  • Interdisciplinary Relationships.

In 1987, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Evaluation of the Influence of Engineering and Technological Factors on Load Uniformity in Drive Axle Gearing of BelAZ Heavy Duty Vehicles”.
